San Antonio has a lot of fun and cheap activities to offer- it’s one of the things we are most known for. But why is it so inexpensive?  The reason is because San Antonio residents have a strong sense of community and want to be inclusive rather than exclusive. The goal is that everyone should be able to enjoy the city, not just those with money.

10 Budget-Friendly Adventure In San Antonio

San Antonio is a city that offers many different activities for people of all ages and budgets. Whether you’re looking for something to do with your family, or just want to spend some time exploring by yourself, San Antonio has an adventure waiting for you! Check out this list of 10 affordable places to get your adventure on in the Alamo City!

Buckhorn Saloon – This historic bar is located in the heart of San Antonio, and was opened back in 1881. They offer a wide variety of activities there, including live music on Fridays at 11:00pm! The tickets range from $14 to $25 for most shows. You can also enjoy their food menu while you’re exploring one of San Antonio’s best bars.

San Antonio River Walk – No list about affordable places would be complete without mentioning our beautiful river walk! Spend an afternoon walking through downtown San Antonio with your friends or family as you see all the local restaurants, shops, attractions and more that this city has to offer. Tickets cost only $40 per person if purchased online ahead of time, and can be purchased for as low as $22 if bought at a walk-up location.

SeaWorld San Antonio – If you’re looking to spend some time with your family, SeaWorld is one of the best places that offers something for everyone! With rides like Journey To Atlantis and Kraken Unleashed, kids will have fun while adults enjoy shows like Howl At The Moon Nightly or even Shamu’s Happy Harbor. Tickets range from $65-$100 plus tax per person depending on age and what showtime you choose.

San Antonio Missions National Historic Park – Spend an afternoon exploring this beautiful park located in downtown San Antonio. You’ll find 18th century Spanish mission ruins built between 1718 & 1793, including the Alamo. Admission is only $20 per person, and you can buy a passport book for an additional $30 to explore all the missions on your own time!

San Antonio Zoo – This zoo opened its doors in 1889, making it one of the oldest zoos west of the Mississippi River. The admission price ranges from $17-$25 depending on whether you’re going with children or not. You’ll see over 750 animal exhibits that include animals like lions, tigers and bears! It’s also home to more than 20 endangered species native to Texas including an ocelot which was released back into the wild after being born at this zoo.

Klondike Bar & Grill – Get your burger fix satisfied at Klondike Bar & Grill! This burger joint offers some of the best burgers in San Antonio for prices that won’t break your budget. Their most expensive burger is $11, and they even offer a daily special with two burgers plus fries or onion rings for just $12!

Mission Concepcion – Explore this beautiful 18th century mission located near downtown San Antonio. Mission Concepcion was built between 1731-1755 by Franciscan missionaries under the leadership of Friar Junipero Serra. Admission is only $20 per person, but you’ll also need to visit one of the other missions on their list before being allowed entrance into this historic site. They are open from Tuesday through Friday from 12:00pm until 12:00pm, and on the weekends they’re open from 12:00pm until 12:30.

San Antonio Museum of Art – This museum offers free admission every Tuesday evening! With five galleries that include art from all around the world, you’ll be sure to find something for everyone at this beautiful location. You can also enjoy a restaurant while you’re there with food ranging in price from $11-$24 depending on what dish you choose!

University Of The Incarnate Word – If you love museums or even have an interest in pursuing a career as an artist someday, then check out UIW’s Fine Arts Gallery located just outside of downtown San Antonio. Admission is only $12 per person (please note gallery hours are for the museum only and do not include hours of operation from the galleries), but you’ll also have access to many other attractions in this area!

Alamo Quarry Market – If you’re looking for a shopping experience that won’t break your wallet then head over to Alamo Quarry Market located in San Antonio’s Stone Oak area. You’ll find boutique shops and boutiques with everything from women’s clothing, children’s clothes, shoes and more at prices ranging from $25-$200 per piece of merchandise (keep in mind there are no sales tax if you purchase items outside of Bexar County). They offer monthly specials as well as their annual Black Friday Sale which is the first Friday of November every year!

San Antonio is the perfect place to visit if you are looking for a vacation where your wallet will be happy.
